Account Manager - Media Planning & Buying - London, UK

My client is seeking an experienced Account Manager who will be responsible for a cross media planning and buying remit, managing key parts of business, to provide first class service to clients, as well as delivering quality and innovative solutions.


Key Responsibilities

  • To provide support to the Account Director & Planning Director
  • To support and manage the activation team in providing excellent service to clients, as well as delivering quality and innovative solutions
  • Be the point of contact for clients, provide campaign updates and proactively manage client expectations
  • To take responsibility in managing the media and communications planning
  • To act as day to day controller of budgets & plans across a broad portfolio of  campaigns / clients with the support of an Account Director.
  • To demonstrate sound understanding of both offline & online planning & the roles of channels
  • To develop client management skills
  • Provide support on account handling
  • To develop the media skills of the AEs across the team
  • To supervise additional projects beyond client responsibilities as requested (new business pitches, market reviews, competitive trends, etc)


Desired Skills & Experience

  • The ideal candidate will come from a media agency
  • Ideally, you will understand the wider media landscape actively understanding the clients integrated approach and aims
  • Experience managing a team and have an abundance of client facing experience and skills.
  • Ambitious, fun with a ‘work hard play hard’ attitude
  • You should have drive to achieve results, maintaining quality and standards.
  • Strong communication skills
  • Flexibility, variety and pace are also important aspects within the role, as is an attitude of responsibility.
  • The candidate should have experience of being the primary contact on a medium sized piece of business, whilst simultaneously juggling a number of other projects alongside an Account Director and Planning Director
  • Strong attention to detail is imperative
